Vishera is the most beautiful river in the Ural Mountains and one of the biggest ones.
The water is very cold and pure. This river is the best place in the Northern Urals for whitewater rafting and fishing.
The Vishera River is a river in Perm Krai
(Perm region), left tributary of the Kama River. It is 415 km
(258 miles) in length. The Vishera River freezes up in November and stays under the ice until the end of April.
Upstream Vishera (182 km / 113 miles) is typically mountain river. It flows between high mountains such as Tulimskii Mountain (the highest mountain in Perm region), Tchuval Mountain and Berezovskii Mountain. This is the area of Russian State Nature Reserve Visherskii. Vishera has some rapids in this part.
Upstream part of the river is totally uninhabited. It is the best place for European grayling fishing and
rafting tours to State Nature Reserve Visherskii.
Middle Vishera (199 km / 124 miles) has no high mountains around but many very picturesque bank rocks. There are many old uninhabited villages in this part of the river and some villages where people still live.
This area has no danger rapids.
Downstream Vishera (34 km / 21 miles) is typically lowland river.
